(VIDEO) ASUU Chairman Fumes Over Court Order Directing Lecturers to Resume Work

Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Prof Osodeke has blown hot over the recent court ruling directing lecturers
of the academic staff union of universities to resume work

Overtnews Recalls that the court of appeal had recently ordered striking lecturers to go back to their working places with immediate effect.
This order however is still yet to be obeyed as members of the union including its president, Prof who is insisting that lecturers
shouldn’t be forced to resume as this might affect not only them, but university students greatly.

while explaining why this won’t work, he made reference to the fact that a medical doctor can’t treat his/her patients properly without
the necessary tools.

According to him lecturers would return, however academic activities wouldn’t be as it was before.

presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) has faulted the ruling of the National Industrial Court ordering the striking members of the
Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off their ongoing strike and resume work.

The human rights activist on his Twitter page questioned, “How could a judge order ASUU to go back to work on empty stomach?
