An eye witness has shared his own narrative of what occurred at inyi police division in Oji-River Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to the young man, the Gunmen arrived that faithful morning and shot sporadically causing severe pandemonium in the area.
Upon arrival, they instructed Everyone to keep calm, insisting that they were not after them but the police officers.
It was also reported that two police officers on duty were confirmed dead following the unfortunate incident.
A video of the attack made available to overtnews showed the police station heavily gutted in flames.
Also two suspected policemen were seen lying in front of the station’s perimeter fence.
The roof of the one-storey building police station could be seen on fire.
Meanwhile, The Enugu state police command is yet to give a reaction to the incident.
