Outrage As Thugs Allegedly ‘Sponsored by APC’ Attack PDP Campaign Members in Lagos

Thugs Allegedly Sponsored by ruling party had reportedly attacked members of the people’s democratic party campaign team in Lagos.

The incident which occurred while they were returning from around Ikoga Junction of the Badagry Local Government area of the state sparked massive Outrage among Nigerians.

It was gathered that Jandor and his team had visited party members in the local government area of the state.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Secretary of the party, Hakeem Amode, who said three people sustained injuries during the attack.

Amode said the thugs who attacked the campaign train were shouting “APC” while shooting and using other dangerous weapons.

He said a journalist who was hurt during the attack was in critical condition at an undisclosed hospital while others were also being treated. Amode also said that vehicles in the convoy were badly damaged.

The statement reads, “The campaign train of the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party – PDP was attacked today while returning from visitation to members of the party at the Ikoga Junction area of Badagry Local Government… this evening.

“The attack led to injuries of several members of Jandor’s entourage and pressmen. As at the time of this press statement, one of the news reporters is in critical condition in an undisclosed hospital while those injured are being treated.

“You will recall that our party raised concern over the threat to use APC-sponsored thugs to attack the campaign programs of our Gubernatorial candidate Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran-JANDOR recently and we would like to state categorically that this will not deter the determination of our candidate to campaign for the next election and win the election come March 29, 2023
