Nigerian rapper, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has lost his mother.
Skales announced this on his official Instagram handle.
In the post which was accompanied by photos of himself and his late mum, Skales said he will miss her “forever”.
“My angel, I will miss you forever. It hurts,” he wrote.
The rapper did not, however, reveal the circumstances that led to his mother’s death.
Condolence messages have continued to pour in for him through the comment section of the post.
Skales, who started writing rap songs in 2000, has established himself as a household name in the country’s music industry.
He was signed to EME in 2010 and left in 2014 following the expiration of his four-year recording contract.
He has received several awards and recognition for his craft.
