The Senatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Imo West, Chief Charles Ahize has cautioned the governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo against allowing himself to be used by enemies of Nigeria to derail the dreams of majority of Nigerians for a new and working Nigeria.
Reacting to the Anambra governor’s statement on a TV show, where he made a deliberate snide remark aimed at discrediting the multiple billion Naira investment by Peter Obi when he was Anambra State governor, the multimillionaire Auto dealer turned politician argued that “Professor Soludo did not speak of his own volition, but must have been reciting the scripts of some people and highly placed political interests, whose presidential candidacy has been severely disabled with scandals and verifiable evidences of past wrongdoings.”
Speaking further, he advised Professor Soludo to be careful not to squander the goodwill of Anambra people who elected him as their governor and stood behind him against all odds during the last election.
“It is possible that some people are deceiving Governor Soludo into believing that they aided his emergence as governor of Anambra State or would help to sustain him in power, but as a respected economist, I expected him to have known better. Anambra people made him governor, and until recently, he enjoyed huge goodwill from Igbos and Nigerians across political divides, but he is about proving critics right, by making himself available for some dirty and very dishonourable jobs of image assassination and dangerous conspiracy theories against the man whom many Nigerians have placed their hopes in for a new, working and prosperous Nigeria.”
The new rave of Orlu politics concluded by saying that; “Peter Obi is an idea whose time has come and there is no force or conspiracy that can stop him”.
