The cross River state police command has arrested some suspected locals who abducted about 9 travellers along in cross River state.
Recall earlier yesterday, Overtnews had earlier reported that the victims were reportedly abducted while travelling along the major Road.
Few hours later, the state police command confirmed that the Victims have been freed from their abductees.
In a statement obtained by our correspondent, the state police public relation officer, Irene Ugbo confirmed that the abducted travellers were robbed by the locals and not herdsmen as it was initially reported.
The culprits, who were captured would be interrogated and charged in coming days.
