Manchester City have progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup today after beating Chelsea 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Riyad Mahrez gave the Blues the lead in the 23rd minute when he curled home a tremendous free kick. City doubled their advantage on the half hour mark when Julian Alvarez converted a penalty following a handball by Kai Havertz.
Phil Foden made it three before the break, tapping home a Kyle Walker cross after excellent build-up play. Progression was sealed at half time but the cherry was added to the cake when Mahrez scored his second of the match, this time from 12 yards, after Foden was fouled.
All eyes now turn to Monday night to find out who they will face in the fourth round. City have been drawn at home to either Oxford United or Arsenal.
