Humphrey Anumudu, Imo Labour Party Governorship Aspirant, Found Dead.

Humphrey Anumudu, a governorship aspirant of the Labour Party (LP) in Imo State, was found dead in his house.
It was reported that after he returned from the party’s meeting at the party national headquarters in Abuja on Friday, Anumudu was found dead in his house. Before his demise, he had plans of contesting in the governorship primaries of under the Labour Party umbrella.
Late Anumudu who hailed from Mbieri Ancient Kingdom in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state was reportedly found dead in his house in Abuja.
The family of Late Humphrey Anumudu has described this ugly incident as a “spiritual attack.”
Reports have it that the late Mr. Anumudu was a multi-billionaire businessman cum politician who is from Imo state.

As a politician, reports have it that he has been contesting for the governorship seat of the state since 1998, that is more than two decades ago.
Although he is late now, but some sources revealed that In 1998, he was thought to have won the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary before the ticket was ceded to Achike Udenwa, who ruled the state from 1999 to 2007.
As a result, he has been fighting for the number one seat in the state for the last several years. In 2019, he was the candidate for the governorship position of the Zenith Labour Party.
A close friend of the deceased said that Mr. Humphrey died around 5:30 pm on Friday.
The sad truth is that the deceased had already paid the sum of 25 million Naira for the Labour Party’s Governorship form for the November 11th 2023 Guber contest.
Late Chief Anumudu was a revered lawyer and astute politician, Chief Anumudu was also the head of Globe Motors.
He’s been affiliated with PDP, ZLP, APGA, and now he wanted to run for the post of a governor under the Labour Party before his untimely death.
This is a great loss for Imo indigenes and also the Imo political space.
