Varsity student dies over alleged negligence by school authorities
A final year student of Benson Idahosa University identified as Bruno Chigozie has died due to negligence from school authorities.
The incident was made public by his schoolmates who shared Chigozie tragic death on social media.
According to reports, late Chigozie was left unattended to for hours at the school clinic which is allegedly unequipped.
The students made attempt to rush him to a nearby hospital via an ambulance to get proper medical attention but they were unable it was gathered no fuel in the ambulance.
When they finally got fuel, the school’s security allegedly refused to allow them pass until an official exit request is granted.
Chigozie, who is reportedly a 400 level student of computer science died due to the delay.
His mother was said to have collapsed upon getting news of his death.
Meanwhile, the school authorities are yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
