One of the suspect arrested by the security operatives has given details of his involvement on the assassination attempt of renowned clergyman and General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
It would be recalled that Apostle Suleman’s convoy was attacked by some criminal gangs few months back along the Benin-Auchi road, Edo state, one of the suspects arrested, Isah Yusuf during interrogation said he was the first person that opened fire on the convoy of the clergyman.
Although, he revealed that he was the one who handled guns for his group, and admitted that the AK-47 he used belongs to the group.
He said he does not know the full details of how the operation was planned adding that other members who are now at large have the details.
Having been part of the group, Yusuf confessed to have taken part in four different operations including the attack on Apostle Suleman.
Some of the security officers of Apostle Suleman were killed during the attack.
