Dozen Arrested As Police Operatives, Vigilantes raid IPOB/ESN members hideout in Anambra

About twelve (12) persons suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were on Tuesday arrested in their hideout by joint efforts of operatives of the police and vigilantes in Anambra state.

It was gathered that the vigilantes comprise Aguleri youths and Umuoba Anam youths as they stormed the IPOB camp in Anam.

In a video making rounds on social media, the criminal group were terrorising Otu-Ocha community recently.

About 10 vehicles including weapons were recovered from their camp.

Tuesday’s operation by the police with efforts from the youths in Anambra will be one of the multiple arrests recorded in the region the criminal group began their sit-at-home enforcement.
