Newcastle Suffer Third Consecutive Defeats After Brighton 3-1 Win

Saturday’s defeat for Eddie Howe boys (Newcastle United) will be their third in a row after losing 3-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex stadium.

Newcastle were completely disarmed right from the start of the game in the 27th minute after Evan Ferguson got on with his hat-trick to put his team in the lead.

Brighton were able to hold on to their 1-0 lead before the break until in the 65th minute when Ferguson doubled the lead to make it 2-0.

Newcastle needed to find a headway in reducing the deficit but that didn’t come to play as they conceded their third goal courtesy, Ferguson in the 70th minute.

The tally was reduced to 3-1 in the 90+2nd minute in added on time when Callum Wilson gave Newcastle United a consolation goal.

The Magpies have managed to get three points after four matches played.

They are 14th on log.

Brighton are still enjoying the early stage of the season sitting comfortably in fourth with nine points.
