Gospel singer Rejoice Iwueze has announced the birth of her first child, sparking a debate among religious critics in the comment section of her Instagram post.
Rejoice, a former Destiny Kids’ star, tied the knot in November and shared the joyful news of becoming parents with a series of maternity shoot photos on her Instagram page.
While expressing her happiness, Rejoice did not reveal the gender of the child but emphasized the transition from being a couple to becoming parents.
However, her announcement triggered criticism from two religious critics who wrongly assumed she was already pregnant before her wedding.
One commenter, Raymond Shola, remarked, “So you married with pregnancy wow my Christian sister,” while another user added, “This story no clear. You were a month pregnant before your wedding. Congrats to you Sha.”

In response, many supporters came to Rejoice’s defense, pointing out that it had been nearly 10 months since her wedding, dispelling the notion that she was pregnant before tying the knot.
