The Board of Trustees (BoT) of Nigeria’s opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will meet today (Thursday) to discuss key issues as it pertains the party.
Overtnews gathered that the meeting which perhaps the first of its kind after the February 25 presidential election will hold at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
The Chairman of the BoT, Adolphus Wabara among members of the board are expected to deliberate on the state of the nation and the current status of the party.
Expected at former PDP governors, ministers, national chairmen and secretaries among others.
Arrival at the former BoT Chairman, Senator Walid Jibrin; his successor, Adolphus Wagbara; former Kaduna State governor, Ahmed Makarfi; Senator Ben Obi, and former Minister of Special Duties, Saminu Turaki (SAN).
Key issues expected for deliberation are the party’s position as regards the state of the nation, and the current situation in the party.
Also, the chances for the party ahead of the November 11 governorship elections in Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi States.
