Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday morning arrived at New York ahead of this week’s 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
This will be the President’s first trip to the UNGA since he was sworn in May 29, 2023.
Overtnews reports that President Tinubu before the main event will join world leaders in an interactive High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (UN 2023 Summit on SDGs) where he will address with other leaders a plethora of issues including sustainable development, climate change, global cooperation, and the imperative to address inequalities and global humanitarian crises.
The President are expected to take advantage of this trip with the aim of strengthening the country’s economic ties as well attract foreign direct investments to the country.
