In a development in the investigation into the untimely death of Afrobeats star Mohbad, the Lagos police authorities have revealed evidence linking Naira Marley (Abdulazeez Fashola) and Sam Larry (Samson Balogun) to allegations of cyberbullying, physical abuse, threats to life, and assault against the late singer.

Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba, passed away in September under questionable circumstances, prompting a renewed scrutiny of his past allegations of bullying and assault.

Many have accused Naira Marley and Sam Larry of complicity in these incidents, although both have vehemently denied any involvement.

During a press briefing, Lagos State Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa disclosed that there is substantial electronic and witness evidence connecting Naira Marley and Sam Larry to cyberbullying, assault, and other misconduct against Mohbad during his lifetime.

Despite their denial and claims of an alibi for the period between September 10 and 12, 2023, Commissioner Owohunwa asserted that the evidence is compelling.

While Naira Marley and Sam Larry are currently detained by the police, Commissioner Owohunwa identified an auxiliary nurse, Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, as the prime suspect in Mohbad’s death.

According to the commissioner, Ogedengbe administered a series of potent injections to Mohbad, including Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone, in a non-clinical environment on September 12.

Ogedengbe was not qualified to perform such medical procedures, and her actions are considered professionally negligent.

The Lagos State Police Command’s investigations suggest that the injections administered by Ogedengbe triggered a chain of reactions that ultimately led to the singer’s death on September 12, 2023.

Commissioner Owohunwa indicated that Ogedengbe admitted to her role in these events, a statement corroborated by other expert opinions and witness testimonies.

In addition to Ms. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, three other suspects have been named in connection with the case: Ayobami Sadiq (aka Spending), Ibrahim Oluwatosin Owodunni (aka Primeboy), and Samson Balogun (aka Sam Larry).
