Controversial TV presenter, Rufai Oseni has called on the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to reflect on previous violations by other stations and issue the same warnings to them.
He said following the warning given to popular Television Station, Arise Television by the NBC.
It would be recalled over the weekend, the NBC had issued a final warning to the operators of Arise Television for alleged violations of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code.
Meanwhile, reacting to the warning on X formerly Twitter, Rufai Oseni wrote: The same regulator didn’t deem it fit to comment when an incumbent VP was called an ice-cream seller on TV.
He added: We will not forget the day a state broadcaster aired an acceptance Speech of an election not concluded and certified by INEC, the effect of that speech caused anarchy in the state and led to breakdown of law and order. Despite broadcasting the fake, unverified event till date the regulators didn’t sanction them.
“If they fined them, let us see the memo If another media house had done that!! Your guess will be as good as mine on the ricocheting effect of the action.”
