Benue Gov Hyacinth Alia Appeals To Residents To Assist Military in Battling Insecurity


Benue residents have been urged by Governor Hyacinth Alia to assist the military and other security personnel in their fight against insecurity.

During the official launch of the military operation “Exercise Enduring Peace III,” Alia made the call on Tuesday in Tyodugh, Guma Local Government Area.

To completely eradicate insecurity and bring peace back to the state, the governor urged citizens to provide useful information to the operatives.

The military exercise and other security agencies’ efforts to drive out criminal elements from the state were praised by Alis.

He praised the military and other security organizations for their sacrifices and services to the State and the entire country.

Before that, Brig. -Gen Al-Amin Rabiu instructed the troops to conduct themselves professionally while carrying out their duties.

According to him, the exercise, which is based on current intelligence about the state’s top security threat, would last until January. 5, 2024.

Furthermore, Maj. Doma, the commander of the Special Forces Command, is from Nasarawa State. – General Hilary Nzan stated that the 401 Special Forces Brigade and paramilitary personnel from various commands throughout the State of Benue would work together to conduct the exercise.

Remember that “Exercise Enduring Peace III” is a joint security exercise designed to address the state’s various security challenges, such as farmer-herder conflicts, cattle rustling, and banditry.
