After their Registrar General, Garba Abubakar, was fired, employees of the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, were recently spotted dancing and celebrating in Tigris Crescent, Maitama Abuja.
A crowd was seen dancing around the CAC headquarters in a viral video, and a voice in the background could be heard stating that the crowd was celebrating the resignation of Garba Abubakar as the Registrar General of CAC.
The event represented the end of the Chief Executive Officer’s term, who had earned the nickname “Emperor” due to claims of his autocratic management style, according to Law and Society magazine.
Hussaini Magaji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has been chosen as the new Registrar General of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), though President Bola Tinubu has given his approval.
The changes are in line with the administration’s determination to build Nigeria’s economic revival on the foundation of trade expansion through small-, medium-, and large-scale industry facilitation in the nation, according to a statement released by the presidential adviser on media and publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
