Popular singer and activist, Charly Boy, has voiced his concerns, accusing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of subjecting Nigerians to hardship and despair.
In a post on his X handle, he expressed frustration, stating, “See as APC dey wicked us with hunger and hopelessness. Dia Fathers.”
This statement coincides with the recent International Monetary Fund (IMF) report highlighting Nigeria’s deepening economic crisis.
The IMF expressed worry over stagnant per-capita growth, widespread poverty, and severe food insecurity, intensifying the persistent cost-of-living crisis in the country.
In response to these challenges, President Bola Tinubu pledged his government’s commitment to expand food production and transform Nigeria into a net exporter.
