287 Students Abducted from Kaduna Schools-Teacher reveals

Following the recent abduction in Kaduna State, a teacher, Sani Abdullahi, has disclosed that a total of 287 students were taken during the attack on Thursday.

Providing details, Abdullahi revealed that 100 students were abducted from the primary school, while 187 were taken from the secondary school, both located on the same premises.

Abdullahi, who managed to escape alongside several others, recounted the terrifying moment when bandits surrounded the school premises and forced them into the bush.

Despite the chaos, Abdullahi returned to the village and mobilized the community’s vigilante group and security personnel in pursuit of the bandits.

Meanwhile,During a visit to the affected community, Governor Uba Sani assured residents of the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safe return of the kidnapped children.

He pledged to establish a Security Committee in Kuriga and advocate for the establishment of a military base to bolster security in the area.

However,a manhunt underway and troops have been deployed to Kuriga and surrounding areas, efforts are intensifying to rescue the abducted children.

Kuriga, a sleepy community, is about a two-and-a-half-hour journey from the Kaduna State capital. The community shares a boundary with Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, one of the hotbeds of banditry in the state.
