AC Milan Dominates: Secures Fifth Consecutive Win Against Verona!

AC Milan continued their impressive form with a seventh consecutive victory, defeating Hellas Verona 3-1 on the road and securing their fifth consecutive away win in Serie A for the first time since May 2022.

With city rivals Inter leading the Serie A standings, AC Milan’s primary target is now securing the best possible finish behind them.

Despite facing tough competition, Milan nearly took an early lead when Fikayo Tomori narrowly missed connecting with Theo Hernandez’s delivery.

Milan dominated the early stages, coming closest to scoring midway through the first half when Noah Okafor’s acrobatic effort was brilliantly saved by Lorenzo Montipo, tipping the ball onto the crossbar.

Shortly after, Christian Pulisic rattled the bar with a powerful strike from inside the right, as Milan continued to press.

Their persistence paid off just before halftime when Hernandez embarked on a determined run into the area, evading two challenges, and delicately chipping the ball over the onrushing Montipo to give Milan the lead.

Milan quickly doubled their lead early in the second half when Montipo could only parry Okafor’s shot into the path of the unmarked Pulisic, who calmly slotted home.

The prospect of keeping a clean sheet against Verona for the second consecutive match since May 1992 added motivation for Milan, but their hopes were dashed when Tijjani Noslin unleashed a stunning strike from 25 yards out, beating Mike Maignan in goal.

With less than 30 minutes remaining, Verona’s goal made for a tense finish, although Milan had a golden opportunity to restore their two-goal lead when Rafael Leao broke clear but failed to find the target.

However, Milan didn’t have to wait long to regain their two-goal cushion, as Samuel Chukwueze scored a spectacular volley from the edge of the area.

This sealed the victory for Milan, securing three crucial points that kept them in second place comfortably.

The situation looks dire for Verona, as they now sit just two points above the relegation zone and are at risk of being demoted to Serie B.
