Actor Sylvester Madu Initiates 7-Day Prayer and Fasting for Nollywood Following Tragic Deaths

Renowned actor Sylvester Madu has embarked on a heartfelt initiative to lead a seven-day prayer and fasting campaign aimed at addressing the recent spate of deaths in the Nollywood community.

The decision comes in the wake of the tragic passing of his colleague, Junior Pope, and four other crew members in a devastating boat accident on the Anam River in Anambra State.

Commencing on April 15 and concluding on April 21, Sylvester Madu urges fellow practitioners and supporters of Nollywood to join him in this spiritual endeavor. The sessions will take place daily online via platforms such as KingsChat or Zoom.

Madu emphasized the importance of collective prayer, stating, “Evil prevails when good men do nothing, evil prevails also when we don’t pray as Christians.”

Participants are encouraged to break their fast between 2 pm, 4 pm, or 6 pm, with prayer sessions scheduled for 15 minutes at each of these intervals. Daily prayer points will be provided, and Madu will lead live sessions on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
