Bayern Munich’s Pursuit Intensifies: Zidane and Ribery Eyed as Successors to Tuchel

According to German daily newspaper BILD, Bayern Munich is considering former star Franck Ribery, aged 40, to join Zinedine Zidane, aged 51, in the dugout next season as they seek a successor to outgoing manager Thomas Tuchel, aged 50.

The collaboration between Bayern and Tuchel was announced to end at the conclusion of the season a few weeks ago, prompting the club to actively search for the ideal coaching candidate.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso, aged 42, and Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, aged 44, have emerged as the top contenders for the Bayern Munich managerial position.

However, recent speculation suggests the possibility of Zinedine Zidane taking over the reins in Munich.

German daily BILD even proposed that if Zidane were to accept the role, Bayern would like to see Franck Ribery join their coaching staff as an assistant.

While the idea sounds enticing, it remains a hypothesis, and Zidane’s acceptance of the position to succeed Tuchel is not guaranteed.
