Abia State police operatives have detained Gz Zhen, a Chinese national, on allegations of pushing his female employee, Ocheze Ogbonna, to her death.

Reports indicate that the incident stemmed from Ogbonna’s refusal of Zhen’s advances.

Zhen, the manager of Inner Galaxy, a steel manufacturing company in Abia State, allegedly pushed Ogbonna from a crane during a night shift on Monday, May 20, 2024.

The tragic event occurred after Ogbonna reportedly refused Zhen’s inappropriate demands.

The incident has sparked outrage and calls for justice within the community.

Maureen Chinaka, the spokesperson for the Abia State police command, confirmed Zhen’s arrest to newsmen on Thursday, May 24, ensuring that investigations are ongoing.
