Controversial Singer Portable Claims EFCC Planning Arrest Over Alleged Naira Abuse

Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has raised allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), claiming they are planning to arrest him over alleged Naira abuse.

Portable, who is currently overseas, expressed fear that upon his return to Nigeria, EFCC operatives would detain him. He cited a recent plea he made to the EFCC, asking for forgiveness if they had evidence of him abusing the Naira.

The ‘Zazu’ crooner pointed fingers at self-proclaimed social media activist, VeryDarkMan, accusing him of instigating the EFCC to target him. Portable criticized VeryDarkMan’s involvement, questioning his credibility and occupation.

In an Instagram live session with fans, Portable voiced his concerns, expressing apprehension about the impending arrest.

He also admonished VeryDarkMan, urging him to refrain from meddling in law enforcement affairs and to focus on meaningful contributions to society.

Portable said: “I am scared. The EFCC is planning to arrest me when I return to Nigeria because VeryDarkMan name-dropped me.

“VeryDarkMan abi VeryDarkBrain, you talk too much. Leave talk for people who have something reasonable to say. Are you a law enforcement officer? Your opinions on public affairs are for people in the law enforcement agencies. When you were arrested it was Nigerians who begged for your freedom. When you came out, you were lean; all your muscles disappeared.

“And now you’re bragging. Leave talk for people who are sensible. You talk about women, politics, everything. What do you do for a living? Tok tok.”
