How Troops Eliminated Bandit Leader Dongon Bangaje In Kaduna

In the North-West zone, troops from Operation Whirl Punch successfully engaged in combat with bandits, resulting in the demise of four individuals, notably Dongon Bangaje, a notorious figure among them.

The operation, as outlined by Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs Samuel Aruwan, began with a special fighting patrol in Tumburku village, extending to Sabon Sara in Giwa LGA.

Acting on credible intelligence, the troops pursued and engaged fleeing bandits, resulting in the elimination of two perpetrators and the recovery of various items, including a motorcycle, a mobile phone, gas lighters, tobacco, charms, and petrol.

Additionally, in Basurfe village, South-West of Kindandan, the troops encountered and overcame an ambush, neutralizing two more bandits and dismantling a camp used as a treatment area for insurgents.

Recovered items from this operation included two AK-47 rifles, one pump action rifle, three magazines, 16 rounds of ammunition, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), two radios, and a motorcycle, along with cigarettes, drugs, and medical supplies.

Notably, one of the deceased bandits was identified as Dogo Bangaje, a notorious leader, and another associate whose identity remains undisclosed was also eliminated.
