Kaduna Government Extends Psycho-Social Support to Rescued Kuriga Schoolchildren


The Kaduna State Government has taken swift action to provide essential psycho-social support for the recently rescued Kuriga schoolchildren.

Following their meeting with Governor Uba Sani at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House, these children were promptly relocated to a dedicated facility for specialized therapy and counseling.

Meanwhile,Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, alongside the Ministry of Health, a comprehensive program has been initiated to ensure the well-being of these children.

Also,Through psycho-social therapy, the government aims to address any mental health challenges and nurture their psychological resilience before reuniting them with their families.

However,Major General Mayirenso Saraso, the General Officer Commanding of One Mechanised Division of the Nigerian Army, shared insights during the handover ceremony.

He revealed that, out of the 137 rescued children, six are currently receiving medical care at a military hospital in Kaduna.
