Marcus Rashford faced the consequences of a disappointing season as the Manchester United forward was omitted from England boss Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man squad for Euro 2024 on Tuesday.

Other notable absentees from the squad include former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson and Chelsea skipper Reece James. The squad will need to be reduced to a maximum of 26 players before the tournament in Germany commences.
