Mercy Aigbe Begs Seyi Tinubu Over Economic Hardship

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has publicly urged Seyi, son of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, to intervene in the current economic crisis gripping the nation.

This plea comes after Seyi urged Nigerians to remain patient and endure the ongoing economic challenges, sparking a backlash on social media.

Aigbe, expressing concern over the dire state of the country, appealed to Seyi to persuade his father to alleviate the struggles faced by the populace.

In a passionate Instagram post, Aigbe lamented the widespread hunger and suffering experienced by citizens, calling on the government to take urgent action.

“People are hungry, people are dying, people are going out of their minds. The present situation of the country is terrible,” she wrote via her Instagram page.

“The government should please, please we are begging, they should do something about this economic hardship.

The call for action coincides with widespread protests across Nigeria, including recent demonstrations in Ibadan and an upcoming nationwide protest organized by the labour union.

The economic hardship has been exacerbated by the removal of petrol subsidies, leading to soaring food prices and the looming threat of further fuel price hikes.
