Nigerian Rapper Oladips Insists He Died And Resurrected

Popular Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, commonly known as Oladips, is standing by his claim of experiencing a ‘death and resurrection,’ expressing disappointment over public disbelief.

In a recent interview with Hip TV, Oladips reiterated his assertion, emphasizing that those closest to him can attest to the authenticity of the event.

The controversy arose in November 2023 when Oladips’ management announced his death, only for it to be revealed later as a promotional stunt for a new song.

Despite efforts to clarify the incident, many still perceive it as a mere prank, a frustration Oladips acknowledged in his recent statement.

“While I understand the skepticism, I assure you, what happened to me was real,” Oladips stated, lamenting the difficulty in convincing the public of the authenticity of his experience.

The rapper’s insistence on the reality of his ‘death and resurrection’ adds another layer to the ongoing debate surrounding the ethics of using such dramatic tactics for publicity in the entertainment industry.
