Nigerian music sensation Seyi Vibez has revealed a shocking experience of being scammed while attempting to join StarBoy Entertainment, the renowned music label founded by Wizkid.

In a candid interview with Wazobia FM, the ‘Bullion Van’ hitmaker disclosed that his journey to fame was marred by deception.

At just 13 years old, Vibez eagerly sought to join the prestigious label and turned to Google for guidance.

Upon finding a purported contact number for StarBoy, he was instructed to pay ₦10,000 for a registration form.

Trusting the authenticity of the offer, Vibez parted with his phone’s sale proceeds to make the payment, only to be blocked by the individual posing as Wizkid’s recruitment officer immediately after.

Reflecting on the incident, Seyi Vibez emphasized the lessons learned from the ordeal, urging aspiring artists to remain diligent and avoid falling victim to such scams.

Despite this setback, Vibez has risen to prominence in the music industry, known for his unique street-inspired musical style.

The 23-year-old artiste, who hails from Ikorodu, Lagos, continues to connect deeply with his roots through his music.

Following his successful debut, Vibez released the EP ‘NAHAMciaga’ in December, further solidifying his place in the Nigerian music scene.
