Power Minister Warns Discos And Threatened License Revocation Amid Blackout

Addressing the nation via X handle on Wednesday,Minister Adelabu expressed his dismay at the decline in power supply despite concerted efforts to address the issue.

Despite the increase in power generation to over 4000MW, certain distribution companies are failing to distribute the power adequately, increasing the problem in regions such as Abuja, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Ibadan.

In response to this issue, Minister Adelabu has summoned the Chief Executives of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) to address the worsening power supply in their respective areas.
