President Tinubu Orders Immediate Rescue of Abducted Victims in Borno and Kaduna


In response to the recent abductions in Borno and Kaduna States, President Bola Tinubu has issued a direct order for the immediate rescue of the victims. Condemning the acts.

In a statement by Special Adviser to the President, Ajuri Ngelale on Friday, the president described the victims as “very vulnerable”,urged security and intelligence agencies to spare no effort in ensuring their safe return.

Also, President Tinubu assured them of swift action and pledged that justice would be served against the perpetrators.

The president’s resolute stance comes in the wake of national outrage following the abduction of over 280 pupils and teachers from Government Secondary School and LEA primary school in Kuriga, Kaduna State.

The brazen attack, carried out by bandits, shocked the nation and prompted widespread condemnation from various quarters, including the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Amnesty International, and education associations.

This incident follows closely on the heels of another abduction, where insurgents seized 200 internally displaced women in Borno State.
