Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has been awarded the Premier League’s Player of the Month for February.

He maintained his impressive form throughout the month, scoring in each of United’s four league games. This success has effectively dispelled any doubts about him following his slow start to life in England.

In addition to winning the Player of the Month award, the Denmark international, Rasmus Hojlund, achieved another milestone by becoming the youngest player ever to score in six consecutive Premier League matches, following goals in his two previous appearances.

His exceptional month started with a standout performance in Manchester United’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Wolves, where he not only scored a goal but also provided an assist for Marcus Rashford.

Rasmus Hojlund continued his impressive form by scoring the opening goal in Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over West Ham at Old Trafford. He then broke the deadlock in a crucial 2-1 win against top-four rivals Aston Villa a week later.

However, his crowning moment came with an early brace away at Luton Town. He scored the opener within the first minute and secured his brace by reacting quickly to chest Alejandro Garnacho’s mis-hit shot towards goal, putting United 2-0 up.

Despite Luton Town’s efforts, Erik ten Hag’s side managed to secure a 2-1 victory.

“I’m very happy,” Hojlund told United’s club channels. “Of course, it’s a big privilege to get this award, especially with the other contenders who were nominated as well. So yeah, I’m very grateful and happy for the award.”

He added: “I always like to say I have the confidence before I go into the game. Of course, you get a little bit more momentum going into the game when you’ve scored.

“You feel like you’re in good form and in a good flow and you just want the next game to come. They can’t come fast enough!”

“I’m scoring all types of goals, but my favourite one probably has to be the chested one against Luton, which I really liked.

“When you’re in a good flow, these things just come more naturally to you, I think.

“I was probably not aiming to put it that well into the goal, but I was quite impressed by my own thought, like trying to get my body towards the goal and trying to see if I could actually get something out of it, which I ended up doing it to perfection, I would say.”

Rasmus Hojlund has been sidelined for Manchester United’s last three games across all competitions due to a muscle injury.

During his absence, the Red Devils suffered defeats in both of their Premier League matches, losing 2-1 at home to Fulham and succumbing to a 3-1 defeat against Manchester City.

However, they managed to secure progress to the sixth round of the FA Cup with a late 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, setting up a tie against rivals Liverpool at home.
