Real Madrid secured their 37th league title with a commanding 3-0 victory over Cadiz, while later Barcelona stumbled against Girona, losing 4-2.

With Barcelona trailing on 73 points after the weekend’s matches, Real Madrid’s lead became insurmountable with just four games left. Girona’s surge places them ahead in the battle for second place.

Under Carlo Ancelotti’s guidance, Real Madrid reclaimed the championship, marking their second title during his tenure. Ancelotti’s managerial prowess has propelled the team to 27 victories in 34 games this season, with only one defeat, showcasing their dominance in the 2023/24 campaign.

Key to their success has been the stellar performance of Jude Bellingham, a notable addition to the squad, who has netted 17 league goals, including crucial winners against Barcelona. Additionally, Vinicius Junior has contributed 13 goals, while Rodrygo has reached double figures.

Despite a sole setback against Atletico Madrid in September and elimination from the Copa del Rey by their city rivals, Real Madrid’s journey to the title has been largely smooth.

As they prepare for a Champions League semi-final clash against Bayern Munich, the question looms whether this triumph marks the zenith of their success.
