Kylian Mbappe has been excluded from the Paris Saint-Germain squad for their final Ligue 1 game of the season on Sunday.

Mbappe, whose contract with PSG expires this summer, will depart the French giants after his last home match ended in defeat last week. The France captain, who has hinted at a move to Real Madrid, will not participate in Sunday’s trip to Metz. The Ligue 1 title has already been secured, and Mbappe has been left out of the matchday squad.

He also missed PSG’s midweek win against Nice, where goals from Bradley Barcola and Yoram Zague secured victory, due to hamstring discomfort.

In Mbappe’s absence, manager Luis Enrique will rely on players like Barcola, Marco Asensio, and Goncalo Ramos for goal-scoring. The team will also be without Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Vitinha, and Fabian Ruiz.

However, Mbappe is expected to play in PSG’s final game of the campaign, the Coupe de France final against Lyon next Saturday.

Mbappe announced his decision to leave PSG earlier in May, and Real Madrid hopes to unveil his arrival at the Bernabeu after the Champions League final, although the deal is not yet finalized.

The 25-year-old has scored a league-high 27 goals this season, leading PSG to their third consecutive Ligue 1 title and their 12th overall.

However, his dream of winning a first Champions League title was dashed in the semi-finals, where they lost 2-0 on aggregate to Borussia Dortmund. Had they progressed, PSG would have faced Real Madrid in the final at Wembley Stadium in early June.
