Jeremiah 1:5 “ Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations”
You were born into this world as a baby, you don’t know the decisions to make, how to go about it, what directions to take, how to be successful. After your transition into youth, you start thinking about what career to settle in, how to go about it, paths to be successful.

All these ruses start from secondary school, deciding the class to venture into, these go in line with your career. You made a decision then on a particular career to begin with but along the line, there were changes probably due to the economy or your capacity. You struggled to finish your school education and still don’t know what to do, how to go about being successful. You see your age mates being successful with the little efforts they have made, you start reminiscing where you have gone wrong, your past mistakes, the steps you should have avoided. I understand the feeling because I have gone through that phase, depression sets in, but you controlled it. As you start getting older, you find yourself distant from people, all you need is a confidant to share your burdens with. We can’t live alone, that is why there is a need for relationships. Relationships are vital for humans and plays a significant role in our emotional, mental and physical health. It requires efforts, communication to thrive. Living a life of solitude can have both positive and negative impacts on you.

Positive Impacts

Increase in self awareness.
Enhance creativity.
Better problem solving skills.
Inner peace.

Negative Impacts

Social Isolation.
Mental health challenges.
Physical health issues
Living a balanced life with a mixture of social interaction and solitude helps you to focus. It is necessary because as a growing child, interactions and exchange of views is important.

It’s frustrating how the people you know are making it, shining, little efforts equal big wins but you are just yourself striving to make it work.
You are confused, addicted to making mistakes, trying to get it right. It all works out at the end if you know how to play your cards right. Everyone wants to be successful in his/her own way. The Bible says suffering may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. This is not about you being sad at night and the next morning, you will be happy. Every failure counts in a successful story, failures contribute to success, it is left for you to make a decision.

I saw some people around me including my friends being successful, their little efforts make ways for them but I am just myself, struggling, trying to make things right. There was a time, I loved being alone thinking a lot, my mother noticed that and cautioned me. At one point, I wanted to give up but I thought of the disappointment of people who are looking up to me. I don’t want my story to just be about failures, I want a good story. What step did I take? I worked on myself, learned new innovations and worked on the one I was comfortable with. At the time I was alone, I resorted to writing out my thoughts. I made something out of emptiness instead of being depressed. I tried making myself happy which worked later on. My relationships with people remain the same, like I am interested in being with you if you want to be with me. I didn’t stress myself, I went with what’s good for me. Being alone is not what I want but what can I do after all I have been a victim of betrayal. Am I happy? Yes. Am I still on the path of discovery? Yes. I know I am not where I want to be but I am better than where I was in the past.

Nobody can motivate you better than yourself. If I want to give up, I will just read the Bible and dwell upon the facts that it can be disappointing. Prayer is the master key. This life is a spiritual warfare, the same way you have to fight physically is the same way you have to fight spiritually. Pray, have faith and then work. Faith without works is dead.
I have heard of cases where people at their old age made their success journey. The world doesn’t start with easier methods. We all strived to get to what we are today. Our journey has been predestined. The beginning and end of our journey is known by God. He knows the past, present and also our future. He just needs us to make efforts to be involved in the plans he has for us. Jeremiah 29:11 tells us about the plans he has for us.

Don’t give up, you can do it, I believe in you!!!!
