Born on April 23, 1981, in Benin City to Urhobo-descendant parents, she has carved a remarkable path in the entertainment world.

Early Years and Education:
Growing up, McDermott moved across Nigeria, from Benin City to Jos and finally settling in Lagos. Her childhood nickname, “ISIO,” meaning “star” in Urhobo, foreshadowed her future in the limelight.

She received her education from various institutions, including the University of Lagos, where she obtained a degree in French language, and later pursued a master’s degree in Public and International Affairs.
