Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi responded tersely to inquiries about Kylian Mbappe’s future amid ongoing speculation about his imminent move to Real Madrid.

Despite the forward not extending his contract with PSG and reports indicating his readiness to join Real Madrid, Al-Khelaifi remained tight-lipped during the UEFA Congress in Paris, stating, “When we have both decided, we will tell you.”

French FA president, Philippe Diallo, echoed Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s stance by refraining from divulging any information regarding Kylian Mbappe’s future in Paris.

Similar to Al-Khelaifi, Diallo remained tight-lipped when questioned by the press.

“I don’t know his (Mbappe’s) final choice,” he said.

“I will wait, like many others, for him to make a decision. Now he has a club and I believe that President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is also present at the UEFA congress. He is certainly much better informed than me about the rest of the career of Kylian Mbappe.”

Should Mbappe make the transition to Madrid, it would bring an end to a prolonged transfer saga and enhance an already formidable squad alongside talents such as Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.

The 2018 World Cup winner has conveyed his desire to depart PSG amicably, ensuring his hometown club receives appropriate compensation.

Allegedly, he has also pledged to forgo a significant loyalty bonus of €80 million (£69m/$86m).

If Mbappe indeed departs for the Spanish capital in the summer, he will aim to conclude his PSG tenure on a high note.

The reigning French champions currently hold an eight-point lead at the summit of the Ligue 1 table and are set to face Real Sociedad in the Champions League last-16 encounter.

Furthermore, Mbappe’s contributions have propelled PSG into the quarterfinals of the French Cup, presenting the opportunity to potentially secure a treble before his departure from the Parc des Princes.
