Nigerian rapper, Falz has reacted to the declaration of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as governor of the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner by INEC at 1:15 am on Monday, almost 48 hours after the electoral exercise commenced.
The governor polled 762,134 votes, defeating his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP), who polled 312,329 followed by Olajide Adeniran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 62,449 votes.
Sanwo-Olu had taken to his Twitter handle to thank Lagosians for the overwhelming support, pledging to continue to work tirelessly to deliver a better Lagos for all.
Reacting to the post, Falz said that Sanwo-Olu wasn’t re-elected but had selected himself.
He added that everyone had seen the whole electoral irregularities unfold and the governor is only deceiving himself.
“You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving yourselves,” the rapper wrote.
