Troops Decimate IPOB/ESN ‘Supreme Headquarters’ in Imo State


Troops of the Joint Task Force of Operation Udo Ka (OPUK) on Thursday,cleared and destroyed the notorious Supreme Headquarters of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

Led by a coalition of security agencies including the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Navy, Nigerian Airforce, Nigerian Police, DSS, and NSCDC officials, the operation targeted the mother valley, located approximately 5,000 feet below sea level.

During the raid, troops encountered and neutralized numerous terrorists, while others fled with gunshot wounds. The determined troops also uncovered a cache of weapons, equipment, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and stolen vehicles.

Among the items recovered were rifles, automatic pump action rifles, double barrel guns, locally made pistols, rocket-propelled grenade bombs, ammunition, communication devices, and various tools used in terrorist activities.

Meanwhile,Major General Hassan Taiwo Dada, the Force Commander of Joint Task Force SouthEast Operation UDO KA, commended the efforts of all security agencies involved and urged leaders of liberated communities to ensure that criminal elements are prevented from returning.

However,He called upon the law-abiding citizens of the South East to cooperate with the Nigerian army by providing timely and actionable information, emphasizing the importance of creating a peaceful and conducive environment for socio-economic development in the region.
